Lyons Chamber of Commerce
The membership organization for local businesses, at 350 Broadway: the member directory, the visitor center in Sandstone Park with the Town, and business promotion through the year.

A Town commission of appointed residents that curates the heARTS of Lyons sculpture collection, runs the annual call for artists and supports arts programming, with a Town arts coordinator.

Lyons Regional Library District
A special district with its own elected board, funded by a property-tax mill levy. It opened the library at 451 4th Avenue in 2019 after the flood put the Depot library out of use; programs most days, a meeting room and a foundation that raises for it.

Lyons Fire Protection District
The fire and emergency-medical district for the town and the surrounding canyons, staffed around the clock, with an auxiliary that does outreach and preparedness before, during and after emergencies.

A town that rebuilt itself once already.
When the St. Vrain flooded in September 2013 it cut every road in and out, took the water, sewer and power, and put a fifth of the housing out of use. LEAF fed people, the library ran from a trailer, and the parks, bridges and utilities came back over the next six years. Most of the groups on this page were shaped by that.
Who to contact for what
Lyons is an incorporated town, so most everyday services come from Town Hall. The rest come from Boulder County, the fire and library districts and the school district. Each row names the body responsible and links to the page of its site that handles that service.
